We’re more than halfway through, folks. And we have all sorts of preggers milestones to report.
Seth and I were busy all day Sunday wiring and installing trim upstairs. Mudding in a small closet, by the way, is made less fun than normal when my trademark crouch (which allows me to easily maneuver in small spaces!) was handicapped by my blossoming uterus. I think it was the first time I was made uncomfortable by my belly! Unless you count the “no more sleeping on the stomach” thing from a while back. That rule is officially in effect. Boooo.
As soon as we hit the hay, after a busy day of moving around and lulling baby Tot to sleep, she started going insane with her little developing limbs. I was sitting there minding my own business and watching some Simpsons reruns when my stomach started moving! This is a crazy thing to have happen. FYI, there is a REAL LIVE PERSON moving around in there! Seth was equally as freaked out.
The good news is that after several frustrating weeks of me desperately reaching over to put his hand on my belly and asking, “Could you feel THAT one?! WHAT?! Oh, COME ON!” he finally got to for sure feel the little Tot move. He looked at me with a very worried expression on his face and said, “That’s violent!”
I promise I will be okay.
But I did have the scary realization that we are a little more than halfway through, and the baby has yet to reach that one pound milestone. Sometime between now and 19 weeks from now, the baby will be something like 7 or 8 pounds?!
WHEN does THAT happen?
No strangers have rubbed on the belly, but a bank teller DID ask if I was pregnant. I suppressed the urge to say “NO!” act offended and run away crying. She was too sweet.
I thought I’d try a little pink for the camera. You know, to practice.
