Last night I saw that Columbus on the Record (or COTR, as the kids call it) is taping with a live studio audience at the end of the month.
I ran over to Khalilia Perrin this morning to share the blessed news.
“You think I don’t already know about this?!” she said.
You see, Khalilia and I are COTR’s No. 1 fans.
We love everything about the show and we watch it every week. I DVR it now, but it used to be the main reason I didn’t go to church (it broadcasts at 11:30 a.m.!). I mean, worship is okay, but there’s nothing better than sitting down with breakfast, my Sunday Dispatch and COTR!
You see, Khalilia and I are huge dorks.
Khalilia and I regularly trade our COTR Dream Panel cards, but these configurations change on a weekly basis. Right now, I think my COTR DP would consist of Joe Hallett, Dispatch Senior Guy, AP reporter Julie Carr Smyth, Sam Gresham, the Common Cause guy and former county prosecutor Mike Miller. No! Wait! DDN’s Bill Hershey! Maybe Bill Cohen or Mary Ann Sharkey on deck. Actually, I just want to hang out with Bill Cohen.
I also have a COTR Nightmare Panel but it would be mean to share that here.
What was I talking about?
Oh, the live taping. The FREE live taping with a STUDIO AUDIENCE on OCTOBER 30 at 5:30 p.m.
Khalilia and I are already registered. We (okay, I) plan to make T-shirts. It will probably look something like this:
